Are Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim still dating?
Chrishell and Jason’s relationship is one of the major storylines of Season 5. The season even begins with the trip to Italy wherein Chrishell and Jason went public with their romance in July 2021. As far as we know, that’s around the time when the pair’s relationship went from friendly to more-than-friends-ly. They had definitely been dating long enough by July for Jason to buy Chrishell a truly ridiculous amount of flowers for her birthday. All of this was during the break in filming between Season 4 and Season 5.
From that point on, the couple made frequent appearances in public, including attending the premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Chrishell helped star Simu Liu buy a house in Selling Sunset Season 4).
But this summer romance didn’t make it to the new year. Sources close to the couple revealed that Chrishell and Jason called it quits sometime before Christmas 2021.

Now we’re venturing into SPOILER territory for Selling Sunset Season 5, because this is also part of the season. As Season 5 progresses, it becomes more and more clear that Chrishell is ready to have a family and that she wants to have a child sooner rather than later. And since she has a stable, supportive, and healthy relationship with Jason, she wants him to be the father. Jason, known for being a reluctant to commit, even considers the idea at length. He spends a few episodes going back and forth, trying to figure out if he’s ready to be a dad. Ultimately, though, Jason comes to the conclusion that he’s just not ready to have a family — even if he’s still “madly in love” with Chrishell.
