As it turns out, the couple kept their little bundle of joy a secret from their friends and family — but not without difficulty. In an interview with E! News, Rihanna shared, “It was harder for me to keep it from my posse, because they’re around me, they know my habits,” she said. The singer revealed that her friends were curious why she wasn’t drinking or smoking, and why on earth the sugar-hating businesswoman was turning to donuts. “I just had to let it all out, and they were all shocked, of course, as the world was shocked as well,” she said.

News that her first trimester was full of shock, lessons, and trepidation. “When I first found out, it’s not real, you know? … It’s almost like you don’t want to get too excited too soon because it’s great news, but … now I can celebrate with everyone.”
