Martha Stewart wows fans with selfie for 81st birthday

Martha Stewart celebrated her 81st birthday on Wednesday with a stunning, youthful selfie.

Dressed in a tan blouse and jacket, the home and culinary pro slightly pouted her lips as she laid down for the photo, which she shared to Instagram on her special day.

“Birthday selfie @prior to big bday dinner,” she captioned the pic.

“We had a delicious lunch and just a bit too much  @19crimes Martha’s chard.”

Fans of the lifestyle guru quickly flooded her comments section with compliments, with many praising her for “aging backward.”

“You don’t age Martha!! Have a wonderful birthday! ❤️,” one fan wrote.

“Happy birthday Martha 🍾❤️ looking gorgeous as always love,” added another.

“Happy birthday,” commented a third fan. “You are beautiful. Thank you for posting this photo – you are an inspiration and role model on so many levels. I hope your birthday is as amazing and fabulous as you are!”

While Stewart is another year older, she admitted in an interview on Chelsea Handler’s podcast, “Dear Chelsea,” that she doesn’t think about age or aging.

“Some things happen to you, you know, you step in a hole and you rupture your Achilles tendon. I did that last year and that was a stupid thing because it’s hurt me for a year … the least favorite thing is getting into any kind of pain,” Stewart said. “My favorite thing about getting older is absolutely not one thing.”

Stewart also spoke with Yahoo! Life in April about how she stays glowing, crediting regular checkups with her doctor.

“I have my regular checkups; they’re on the calendar at least six months in advance. I eat extremely well … I live on a farm, which I think is one of the healthiest lifestyles there is because when I get up in the morning, I can go outside and breathe fresh air,” Stewart said.

“I can plant some flowers or pick some vegetables and make a green juice that is utterly delicious, which really helps with the maintenance of good skin, good hair and strong bones. It’s just important for me to look good and feel good,” she said. “My career requires it.”
