Hello chicks!!! On January 12, 2025, the Nodes enter the Virgo-Pisces axis, and that only means one thing: we will have eclipses in these signs! The story we are developing in this axis of our birth chart will last until 2027. Are you ready? I’ll tell you everything in three parts. 🤓 -In the end, you also have it available in audio-.
PART ONE: l
eclipse logic
What are lunar nodes and how do they relate to eclipses?
Lunar nodes are mathematical points that indicate the area of the sky where it is possible for the Moon, Sun and Earth to align. In this way, whenever there is a New Moon or a Full Moon near the Nodes (to be precise, within 15º of one of the Nodes), an eclipse occurs.
When it comes to a New Moon (a conjunction of the Moon and the Sun) aligned with the Nodes, what happens is that the Moon comes between the Earth and the rays of the Sun, the covering in a phenomenon we call a solar eclipse.
When it is a Full Moon (opposition of the Moon and the Sun) which aligns with the Nodes, it is the Earth which stands between the Sun and the Moon, preventing the rays of the Sun from reach the surface of our satellite, obscuring it and giving rise to a lunar eclipse.
Eclipses as windows of development
Since there must be lunations near the nodes for an eclipse to occur, eclipse seasons can only occur every six months, when the Sun is near one of the nodes and a lunation occurs in any of these signs.
For this reason, during the 18 months it takes the Nodes to pass through a pair of signs, we can expect at least three eclipse seasons activating those signs.
Eclipses occur in groups, describing a multi-year history in the areas they activate.
An eclipse, on its own, can mark key milestones in our biography, but we must remember that eclipses never act alone: they are always part of a larger story in which we have the opportunity to work on a area of our theme. intensively.
How often are there eclipses in the same pair of signs?
The Lunar Nodes move very slowly through the zodiac, like the needle of a compass which takes 18 years to completely travel the wheel. In other words, if the North Node is in Pisces, it will take 18 years to come full circle and return to this sign.
However, as the nodal axis has two extremes, the North Node and the South Node, in the middle of the cycle (after 9 years), the nodal axis activates the same pair of signs again, but in reverse.
In theory, eclipses activate the same pair of signs in cycles of 9 and 18 years.
However, one only has to look at a list of eclipses to see that, like all lunations, they are not absolutely regular, and each season or series of eclipses has its particularities.
For example, between 2023 and 2025 we have eclipses in the sign of Aries for two full years (April 2023, April 2024 and March 2025). While eclipses in Libra only cover one year (October 2023, March 2024 and October 2024). Finally, if we look at the eclipses that will now occur in Pisces and Virgo, we see that they will last until the beginning of 2027, almost three years.
Despite the regularity of the Nodes, these differences are due to small variations in the lunisolar cycle.
How do eclipses affect us?
Eclipses are capricious. They bring changes, closures and beginnings, but they are not easy to read. No matter how much we study them and try to predict their effects, there is always a lot of room for surprise. And the attempt at control is useless!
For example, they often usher in unprecedented situations, introducing new information into our lives. And this cannot be anticipated. This is why it is important to remain observant and patient, giving time for what needs to be revealed to reveal itself.
Sometimes what an eclipse brings to us is so clear that we experience it consciously on the same day or week. For others, however, you have to wait months to understand what it was about.
It is usual that if an eclipse affects the Moon, the Sun, the cusps or the dominant planet of the Ascendant of the birth chart, its effects are felt more quickly. Also if they fall in the angular houses: 1, 4, 7 or 10… or in the signs that we have in the angles.
But other times they don’t affect us as directly, and it can seem like they pass without pain or glory… until some time passes and we understand their significance in retrospect. For example, something that seems common during an eclipse may carry enormous weight in the future.
On the other hand, let us remember that eclipses are lunations, and that they respond to the personal universe. Its strength lies in the intuitive, emotional and sensitive universe of the Moon, as well as in the purpose, essence and vital expression of the Sun.
They touch something inside and outside. They shift reality as part of a deeper process that helps us find ourselves. Living what needs to be experienced, discovering our destiny.
Its mystery is enormous. And their wisdom, as legendary as it is rigorous: they put everything in its place.
Finally, you already know that it is not recommended to do rituals or intentionally move energy during an eclipse. In my experience, trying to force the powerful atmosphere of an eclipse at will… doesn’t feel good. Its atmosphere empties and tires, or accelerates and tenses, destabilizing things erratically. So, now you know: welcome the eclipses as soon as they open, take care of yourself in the simplest and most caring way, and be present! 🌙
SECOND
eclipses in Virgo and Pisces
When were the last eclipses in Virgo and Pisces?
Do you remember your life in 2016? What difficulties did you encounter in 2007? It’s time to get out the journal and start investigating the annals of time, because these are years in which there have been eclipses in Virgo and Pisces.
Now some of the atmospheres of that era could return.
The last time we had eclipses on the Pisces-Virgo axis was when the Nodes visited these signs, between November 12, 2015 and May 8, 2017. However, on this occasion, the Nodes were pointing in the direction opposite to that of today. the north node was in Virgo and the south node was in Pisces. Maybe… some of what worked for us back then is no longer as appropriate or what we need. Another possibility is that we can now take advantage of what was not working at that time. Any ideas?
On the other hand, the last time the North Node was in Pisces (and the South Node in Virgo), exactly as it is now, was about 18 years ago, from June 22 2006 to December 14, 2007. If in these years we went through situations in our Virgo-Pisces zone with which we managed to pave the way for something important, now we can go further. As we complete a full cycle in the mysterious spiral of life, something within us is ready to receive more.
What eclipses will there be in Virgo and Pisces between 2024 and 2027?
The North Node will be in Pisces between January 12, 2025 and July 27, 2026. Around these dates, whenever there are lunations in these signs, there will be eclipses.
September 17/18, 2024 | Partial eclipse 🌜 25º Pisces
March 14, 2025 | Total eclipse 🌜 23º Virgo
September 7, 2025 | Total eclipse 🌜 15º Pisces
September 21, 2025 | Partial eclipse 🌞 28º Virgo
March 3, 2026 | Total eclipse 🌜 12º Virgo
August 28, 2026 | Partial eclipse 🌜 4º Pisces
February 20, 2027 | Penumbral eclipse 🌜 1st Virgo
If we look at this list, we will see that the three eclipses that there will be in Pisces will be of the Moon, while of the four eclipses that there will be in Virgo, only one will be that of the Sun. endings in the last sign of the zodiac, since lunar eclipses are linked to climaxes and closures of processes.
These lunar eclipses in the North Node would bring endings and climaxes, yes; but to open a space for something new to be born (perhaps, more vital, and for many people, more exciting).
Finally, I recommend that you observe which areas of your natal chart these seven eclipses in Virgo and Pisces will activate, to try to read the story that they offer you.
If you have planets or cusps in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces), these eclipses will affect you more. Some of the issues we experienced between May 2020 and December 2021 could also shift again, when there were eclipses in Gemini and Sagittarius that also affected the mutable signs.
The mutable cross suggests adopting a flexible and open posture
While the Nodes are in Virgo and Pisces, almost all eclipse seasons will overlap with eclipses in other signs, like Libra and Aries (2024-2025) or Aquarius and Leo (2026-2027). This underlines the tone of TRANSITION of these years.
When the Nodes leave Pisces-Virgo, all the slow planets will be in different signs. The big challenge with these eclipses in mutable signs will be to understand the changes in our world and adapt to them!
In fact, Neptune, the ruling planet of the North Node in Pisces, will change signs while fulfilling this role as eclipse guide, letting Pisces enter Aries up to two times. A great movement of energy that we have never experienced before.
Neptune will spend a period of time in Aries, between March and October 2025. But the definitive change of sign will take place in January 2026. This represents a great closure in terms of cultural expressions, beliefs, dreams and collective sensitivities… and the birth of something new that moves, excites and marks an era. I dedicated an entire article to this, in case you want a refresher.
In addition, now that Mercury will be the ruler of the South Node, its retrogrades will be particularly powerful, purifying and cathartic, favoring that after getting entangled in inertia and difficult-to-resolve loops, we choose to cut with the past, wipe the slate clean. Did I already say that Mercury goes retro three to four times PER YEAR? 👀
Themes of the Great North Node in Pisces
With the North Node in Pisces, it is time to review our relationship to the issues governed by this sign, because new situations could arise for which the formulas we usually use are not very useful.
Indeed, when the North Node crosses a sign, the great challenge is to respond in another way and to integrate transcendent experiences linked to the themes it governs. This will help us continue to learn, adapt better to circumstances and nourish our vital toolbox. The North Node is like a compass, pointing out issues that are particularly important to our growth and learning at this stage of life.
Themes of the Great South Node in Virgo
With the South Node in Virgo, we will also have to review our relationship to the issues governed by this sign, because we could try to rely on our old tools to respond to new situations that may appear, as if we tended to rely on this which is already there. However, it won’t be long before we discover that times and circumstances are not what they used to be and that what worked for us yesterday may not work for us the same way today . There is something that needs to be left out and something that needs to be updated!
In other words, even though the South Node initially helps us feel more ease of movement in the Virgo zone, where everything tends to flow in a more familiar and comfortable way, we might realize that the current of Ease doesn’t always get us where we are. we should get there. In fact, when the South Node crosses a sign, the great challenge is to abandon inertia and respond differently to the issues it governs, leaving behind patterns that hinder our learning.
THIRD:
Jump in time
Background: What happened the last time the North Node was in Pisces, in 2006 and 2007?
Water, sea and ports
With Pisces, we face bad weather and the uncontrollable power of the waters. In 2006, a tsunami on the island of Java killed 733 people and injured 9,300, and a few months later, 112 people died from another tsunami in the Solomon Islands.
Meanwhile, in 2007, intense flooding hit Uruguay, displacing at least 15,000 people. The same year, intense monsoon rains killed 78 people in Bangladesh. At the same time, in the city of Chittagong a mudslide destroyed entire neighborhoods.
But not all water-related news is about the force of nature. For example, in late 2007, a Hong Kong tanker capsized, spilling 10,000 tons of crude oil off the coast of Taean Haean Nature Park.
On the other hand, it arouses interest in the sea and the life it supports. Science magazine announces that in just four decades, 90% of marine biodiversity will have disappeared. In the Antipodes, for the first time a human expedition reached the seabed of the North Pole.
🐠 Apart from these types of headlines, other topics that can be expected now are droughts, difficulties with water infrastructure – such as bridges, boats and submarines -, poisoning of water and drinking water supply difficulties, fishing and irrigation restrictions or regulations, and problems with microplastics, among others.
Cross-border logic
If Pisces has anything, it is that it distorts any illusion of limits, and this has a very real and human dimension when it comes to boundaries, whether spatial or temporal. For example, in 2006, and against the advice of the international community, Israel invaded Lebanon, leading to the irreparable destruction of the city of Tyre, a historic Phoenician port.
Another possibility is that the border will be stretched in a negotiated way to connect the territories, as is the case with the annexation of Romania and Bulgaria to the European Union in early 2007. Will new annexations be proposed now ? What weight do migrations have in the European policy of protecting its borders through the annexation of territories?
Finally, the last time the North Node was in Pisces, no more and no less than Google Earth was born!!! The notion of space has changed forever, contributing to the global feeling of sharing the planet, the ubiquity of attention and the development of geolocation systems which have radically transformed our conception of the world.
🐠 Beyond these types of headlines, other topics that we can now expect are questions of human mobility, demographic challenges, nomadism and migratory flows, the consequences of globalization, conflicts of beliefs and the progressive disintegration of the cultural tradition historically associated with the territories. , including conservative reactions that take the form of racism, exclusion or rejection of what is “not pure”.
Represent collective history
The last time the North Node was in Pisces, there were several political milestones involving iconic figures of great importance in collective sentiment. For example, it was when Fidel Castro delegated all his functions to his brother Raúl for the first time, thus reigniting the debate on the future of Cuban politics. In Brazil, Lula is re-elected president, Correa wins the elections in Ecuador and Cristina Fernández wins the elections in Argentina.
But questions of historical importance also arise: for example, Perón’s remains were transferred to the Villa San Vicente. Fujimori is also extradited from Chile to Peru. And after all, Pinochet died peacefully in the hospital.
Although the amount of things that have happened during these years in Latin American political history is astonishing, the influence of the Nodes in Virgo-Pisces has not only affected these latitudes. For example, in Iraq, Saddam Hussein was executed by hanging.
Meanwhile, in other territories, very relevant adjustments of historical memory took place. To give an example, this is when the International Court of Justice established that the Srebrenica massacre was genocide. Or when Spain returned to Botswana the embalmed corpse of a man who had been on display for nearly 100 years as the “Negro of Banyoles” at the Darder Museum, and he finally received a proper burial. name in its place of origin.
Disappearances, reunions and resolution of outstanding issues
Pisces represents limbo and the labyrinth, and when this archetype is activated, there are things that are lost and things that are found.
When it comes to people lost or sent away under the influence of Pisces, these are cases that cause collective shock. For example, the last time the North Node was in Pisces, Natascha Kampusch, who had disappeared 9 years ago under strange circumstances, was found safe and sound. Almost simultaneously, the famous disappearance of British Madeleine McCann occurred, which remains unsolved.
But everything is not so horrible. Sometimes counterfeiting and art trafficking networks can also be discovered, recovering documents and works important to the history of humanity. For example, the last time the North Node was in Pisces, two famous paintings by Edward Munch were found, the cry And the Madonna.
Issues or processes that have been open for a long time are also resolved. This was the case of the mathematician Grigori Perelmán, who succeeded in proving Poincaré’s theorem. Or the resolution of Pope Benedict XVI to canonize Rafael Guízar, as well as other blesseds.
Mystery, spirituality, and creepy things are activated when the North Node is in Pisces. This takes us beyond the limits of what we could explain.
And besides… it was when the North Node was in Pisces that the International Astronomical Union published another definition of the term planet, excluding Putón… and definitively naming the dwarf planet that motivated this whole revision as Eris, the goddess. of discord.
Pharmacy, health and addiction
Pisces and Virgo are the signs of health, medicine and pharmacy, and when the Nodes are there, there are usually substantial innovations. Now that Saturn and Neptune are also in the region, these advances are expected to represent a before and after in the treatment of some serious but common illnesses.
To give an example, the last time the North Node was in Pisces, the first trials of two AIDS vaccines were successfully completed. At the same time, in Palermo, the first surgical procedure was performed on a patient infected with HIV. But we could also expect significant public health measures. For example, in Spain, the anti-smoking law or the dependency law were born with the North Node in Pisces.
Finally, Pisces connects us to the mysterious origins of life, and we might expect genetic or biomedical advances. The last time the North Node was in Pisces, the possibility of generating stem cells from human fibroblasts was announced: a revolutionary advance in this field.
Arts, entertainment, media and mass culture
But if there is something to look forward to, it is a renewal in the world of media and communication, virtual reality and entertainment, arts and mass culture. The references that the last stage of the North Node in Pisces left us are overwhelming.
It was then that the first Nokia phones with integrated music were launched on the market. And in 2007, Steve Jobs would revolutionize our world forever by introducing the iPhone. The consequences would be enormous! Another equally relevant fact is that it was around this time, while the North Node was passing through Pisces, that Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion.
Music, videos and virtuality are clearly Pisces, and the technology serving this wake gives rise to memorable things. The PlayStation 3 or the Wii (Nintendo) are the daughters of the last North Node in Pisces. But the same goes for the seventh and final volume of the Harry Potter saga, or the debut of Taylor Swift with the release of her first album. His fame today! I wonder what celebrity will be born now.
Finally, even if Pisces is more in tune with popular culture, it can also be a moment of glory for the more institutionalized arts. For example, the great expansion of the Prado Museum took place with the North Node in Pisces. And without intention of comparison, while waiting, for example, for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which when it takes place will be colossal… under the gaze of Saturn in Pisces: history in all its mystery.
No matter where we look at it, the universe of Pisces opens a strong stage for collective feeling, it puts us in contact with what we are passionate about and through culture and the arts, it gives us a reflection of what we consider to be important.
