For many decades, Egypt has been the favorite destination of various researchers, trekkers, archaeologists and scientists. A place steeped in beautiful storiessome considered legends, in addition to treasures, thousands of ancient artifacts and, above all, countless mysteries.
The enigmatic “Black Earth”
the famous Greek philosopher Platohad a significant influence on the popularity of Egypt, formerly known as the Black Land. In his ancient writings, he told of the link that existed between the priests of the pharaohs with a mythological civilization.
What is the reality of the popular philosopher’s stories? The accuracy of their accounts is certainly unknown. However, by observing the cultural achievements and especially the ancient constructions, it is possible that Egypt developed a modern civilization that has never been told.
A wonderful find in Egypt
A famous city located nearby Cairopreserves many emblematic places, such as the three highest pyramids, called: The Giza Plateau. Famous for its desert climate and the elaboration of various types of tombs, made exclusively for important figures, such as kings and their families.
However, a short time ago a tomb was discovered, extremely extraordinary and bearing no resemblance to any other. For many years he was known as the Well or Mine of Osiris, apparently this is the tomb of this important god. It is located near Cairo, on the Giza Plateau, next to the Pyramid of Chephren.

In 1837, the British Egyptologist and engineer John Perring first marked the site on a map of Giza and designated it as Tomb No. 1. Later, between 1933 and 1934, Egyptian archaeologist Selim Hasan, clearing the way for the procession between the Pyramid of Chephren and Valley Temple near the Sphinx, he discovered a well under the road itself. The well of Osiris had several levels. Initially, the lowest level was filled with water, which at the time was an obstacle to their investigation.
However, in 1999, under the direction of the Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass, it was possible to pump water from the lowest level of the well and start archaeological excavations.

A place of worship to the gods
From history, we know that Egypt was a land of gods, people were very devout, so they revered and worshiped them. One of the most important deities of antiquity was Osiris, who was apparently killed by his ruthless brother Set.
The one responsible for giving him a proper burial was his wife and sister Isis. After the death of his earthly body, he was resurrected as judge of the dead and protector of the underworld. Is it possible that such a powerful god was buried in Egypt? According to legend, this was his last refuge before his death.

Is there evidence that Osiris was buried at Giza?
Many features of this great well qualified it as the tomb of the god of the Egyptians. Not only because of the particular design, but also because in one of the levels of the mine there is various talismans with the effigy of Osiris.
A well full of water of mysterious origin
What appears to be the tomb of the revered ancient god dates back to 500 BC. One of the features that has managed to capture the attention of many scientists is the origin of its groundwater. This had prevented the excavations due to the high level of fluid.
Although at first this factor was a disadvantage, the researchers managed to clear the last level of the large pit. Finally, by pumping the water, they found many archaeological treasures. Between them, they found amulets made of various materialssuch as volcanic glass, plutonic rock or diorite, earthenware and basalt.
A visit to the magnificent “Tomb of Osiris”
Currently, this ancient tomb is not open to the public. However, It was possible to meet her thanks to some photos and detailed descriptions from archaeologists. The first phase of the well is found when you go through the front door.
Thereafter, there are some stairs to access the second level, a large rectangular room composed of 7 burial chambers. Two of them contain high quality sarcophagi, constructed with basalt.

The majestic tomb of the god of the Egyptians
Finally, to complete the tour of the structure at a depth of twelve meters from the second level the great Osiris is buried. His tomb is similar to the other two that are in the building, the only difference is that the material of the sarcophagus is granite.
It is still unclear what the stone sarcophagi were used for in ancient times. But if this place is in fact the burial place of the god of the Egyptians, then it is normal that he had such a grave.

However, what produces a lot of unknowns and confuses everyone is to think how the colossal stone structures ended up at such depth. Perhaps everything found in Egypt is proof that there was gods or a supernatural civilization unknown to us totally.
