It happened on February 9. Almost four months ago Bandai Namco announced one of the most radical measures on the Dark Souls trilogy. Due to a error that allowed hackers to take control of the PC from other users, the company was forced to discontinue PvP modes.
Therefore, a multiplayer format so characteristic of the saga has been missing since then. More than 100 days have passed and not a single news about it has been communicated by the publisher. Finally, thanks to statements to pc gamerwe already know the current state of the situation:
“We are currently in the process of restoring the online servers for the Dark Souls series on PC. We plan to restore the online service for each game on a progressive basis, bringing the servers back for Dark Souls 3 once we complete the necessary work to correct the issue”
Therefore, it seems that the intention is to return to normal the most recent installment to date, the one that probably brings together the largest number of players. Yes indeed, We don’t even remotely have a date to hold on to to be clear when the return to online activity will take place.
From Bandai Namco they assure that they will keep us updated and thank “all our players for their patience and understanding while we work to solve this problem.” Fortunately, the Elden Ring has not been affected by this bug and we can roam the Midlands without much fear.
