When the pandemic began, there were certain aspects and mechanics of Pokémon GO that were altered so that players could play perfectly from home. However, as the situation is gradually returning to normal and people are going out more, Niantic has decided revert these modifications to return the game to its original state.
In this sense, it has announced its intention to ensure that users meet again in person to participate in Raids. Therefore, this implies that the Remote Raid Pass pack will no longer be offered for just one Pokécoin, so those who want to participate in these battles from their homes must pay a total of 100 Pokécoins.
Likewise, to encourage the fact of participating in the Raids, those who manage to win in these battles will take in exchange Mega Energy and Rare Candies ++ to make it easier to evolve and strengthen Pokémon.
In any case, Niantic is committed to finding a way to help those who do not find it so easy to approach the Gyms, in addition to providing tools for organizing events or requesting new Gyms. On the other hand, also plans to introduce new social features so players have more ways to communicate with each other and have fun together.
All of this comes at a time when Pokémon GO Fest 2022, the biggest event of the year, is practically just around the corner. This event will take place between June 4 and 5 and will have its own special research tasks, challenges, exclusive Pokémon and much more.
