It would be an online game set in a new fantasy universe.
It may not be one of the company’s best-known studios, but PlayStation London Studio seems to be working on a new unannounced project. According to a job offer, it would be a new multiplayer IP. This is the studio behind Singstar and, more recently, PlayStation VR games like PlayStation VR Worlds and Blood & Truth.
As we can read through the forums of Reseteraa job offer would indicate that London Studio’s next project is an online game set in a fantasy world. Specifically, the studio is looking for a narrative designer with “a passion for both making and playing magic-based games where great gameplay is supported by fascinating fantasy world-building.”
According to the experience suggested for the position, the team seems to indicate that it is a project of game as a service with main campaign and side missions like it could be Destiny or The Division, but in a new fantasy universe:
- Creation of an initial campaign to introduce the world and characters, then an ongoing campaign to develop the narrative and introduce new content.
- Objectives and story beats for side quests and missions.
- Development of an intriguing backstory and narrative context that sets years of history in progress.
- An excellent understanding of non-linear narrative systems and how to develop a story in a Game as a Service or GaaS.

PlayStation bets on games as a service
At the moment there are no additional details about this project, but presumably it is one of those 10 games as a service that Playstation plans to launch until 2026. One of the Reasons to Buy Bungie at the beginning of the year, the company has experience in dealing with games as a service thanks to Destiny.
