It is quite common that the great works of video games (or movies, comics or literature) serve as inspiration to create new titles that take playable or narrative concepts and adapt them to their own idea to create a completely different game.
This is the case of Rooted, a survival video game that is being developed by a small indie studio and that is inspired by The Last of Us, the well-known work by Naughty Dog that amazed us so much with its deliveries for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
At the moment there is not much information about Rooted beyond a video that you have inserted in the news and some details such as that it uses the Unreal Engine 5 engine with technologies or libraries such as MetaHuman and Lumen, in addition to having a day and night cycle or cooperative options, although at the moment both the release date and the platforms to which it would arrive are unknown, although its development seems to be designed for PC and the current generation PS5 and XSX/S consoles:
A strategy game from Starcraft veterans, another of the works that will arrive in Unreal Engine 5
Little by little we are seeing more games and projects that will use the new graphics engine from Epic Games. Another of the most interesting and of which there is still little information is a new strategy video game that is being developed by Frost Giant, a studio made up of Starcraft veterans that has got 25 million dollars to create a new RTS in Unreal Engine 5.
