This week we saw the new Marvel Legends Maximum Series Spider-Man figure pre-order come and go. The figure was sold at “Fan-Channel” etailers including Amazon and Gamestop and had a MSRP of $49.99. Pre-Orders sold out at most online etailers in a 24-48 hour period which would seemingly suggest that the figure overall was fairly well received by collectors. If you missed the pre-orders for Spider-Man, I believe you can still get one from Gamestop and I wouldn’t be surprised if other retailers that are currently sold out don’t get more in at a later time. In other words I wouldn’t run off to the secondary market in a panic just yet.

So what is next for this new Maximum Marvel Legends subline? Well as we told you back in November when we first told you about this new accessory packed line, the next figure released for it likely will be a new Incredible Hulk figure. This one should include three different heads, three different pairs of hands (Open/Clapping, Close Fisted, Gripping), some kind of firing missile, wind clapping effect and punch effect. Hulk should stand 8.5″ tall. No word on price for that one.

I have also seen indications we might get a third figure in this line for 2025 which would be a new Deadpool figure. I have no other details on this one at this time.

Of course like always, until Hasbro official confirms Hulk and Deadpool we will treat these as RUMOR at this time.

Looks like more money saved for me!

I am very excited for Hulk. There is no way he’s only 65 though. He’ll be more like 70-80 bucks. Hope I’m wrong on that. Not sure about the heads. I think I would vote for 3 different eras for more bang for my buck. But, three different emotions is important too. I am really excited about those effects though, they sound epic!!! As others have said, there still isn’t a definitive “perfect” Hulk yet…

Ngl I was being pessimistic praying hasbro somehow sees are comments and puts it at that price haha. But I agree I think it’s actually 69.99-74.99 which does in fact suck, but if it’s is rivals as the ML team said themselves is suppose to…we will see. And yes it’s needs the three different eras artist specific with differing emotions that would be fantastic!

As far as Deadpool next, boo. I feel like the last few were really nice. But yeah, he’s a sure sellout and to be expected in this line along with Wolvie, Cap, and IronMan.

I really do hope for, I feel like a broken record here, a Thor with flying effects, a thrown hammer with a stand, a powered up swinging effect and tons of lightning. But DD, Rogue, Punisher, Storm, Scarlet Witch, Dr Strange all feel likely within the next few cycles of these. I’m actually excited to see what we get.

If it’s going to be super articulated and they go with popular, then either Wolverine or Deadpool make the most sense. I could see Captain America being another choice. Hulk seems like a decent choice if they want to see what they can do with a larger character in that line.

IMO Hulk would be my first choice for this line after Spiderman because Hulk is nearly an open market as there is no definitive Hulk from any company. And I am willing to cough it up (to a certain extent, maybe AT BEST 59.99-65.99 if it’s phenomenal and I mean phenomenal), and if they do Hulk well with modern articulation points that can rival import companies as they claim, I would be throwing in my vote for a The Thing from John bryne as drawn by Ron Wilson. Now that would make a grown man cry.

I honestly would have expected both Wolverine and Cap to get the Maximum treatment before Hulk or Deadpool, but whatever.

For all of the seeming hate for Spider-Boy, he’s easily my favorite figure from the most recent Spider-Man retro card wave now that I have them all in hand, and it’s not close. Francine Frye Electro would be 2nd, followed by Kaine, Spider-Man Unlimited, Chameleon and Agent Venom in that exact order. I like them all but Spider-Boy and Francine are way ahead of the other 4 for me personally.

If it’s going to be super articulated and they go with popular, then either Wolverine or Deadpool make the most sense. I could see Captain America being another choice. Hulk seems like a decent choice if they want to see what they can do with a larger character in that line.

I hope one of those Hulk heads is something like Rick Jones or Cosmic Hulk or some other character. You know just to get us some variety. I’m interested in Deadpool as well but if it’s just DP with some extra hands and a load of weapons I might pass.

I was thinking the exact opposite I hope its least 2 different eras look for Hulk if not 3, like artist-specific portraits. I’m very much hoping for an immortal hulk head.

I may be alone in this, but I really can’t see myself paying $50 for many other characters outside of Spider-man. I’m pretty satisfied with my 80th Anniversary Hulk, so they’d really have to knock my socks off for me to break the bank. I imagine a deluxe size figure like that might even run a higher price point. I know this doesn’t apply to everyone, but I’ve tried to limit my collection to one of each character, except for Spider-man who of course has his own shelf with different variations.
